Jazzy Air 2 Unit
The Jazzy 2 Power Chair combines safety, comfort, and styling in mobility. The design features incorporated in this model are convenient to support daily activities. Aside from its practicality, the Jazzy Air 2 unit is one that is easy to assemble, operate, and disassemble within a few steps.
How to Assemble the Jazzy Air 2
When it comes to assembly of the Jazzy Air 2, there are two major components involved. These are the seat and the power base.
Step 1: Start by removing the battery cover so that you can have visibility on how to connect the cables. Make sure that the battery is properly connected to the power base.
Step 2: Locate your power controller and turn it on where the modes should light up. And then with the user of the controller, raise the actuator switch to the highest possible level. After this, power down the controller.
Step 3: Place the seat on the base plate and flip the backrest. There are front bolts in the seat plate which should align through the hole underneath the seat. Secure the bolts initially by hand. And make sure to secure the rear bolts too. Once these are secured, you can tighten them with a hex key. (see figure 1)
Step 4: Next is to insert the armrests and adjust them to the preferred height. Once satisfied, you can tighten its set of screws. Moving back to the seat, mount the headrest and adjust the height, when necessary.
Step 5: Move on to the controller and route the wires along the inside of the armrest and secure them in place with wire ties. Allocate extra drag on the wires so that it has room to be taut when armrests are raised or lowered. (see figure 2)
Step 6: Finally, install the battery cover and the rest of the covering to tidy it up.
How to Operate the Jazzy Air 2
Before operating the Jazzy Air 2, it is advisable to conduct the necessary safety checks for your passenger. Below are a few things to consider:
- Make sure that the tires have sufficient air inflation
- The electrical wiring is not damaged and remains in good condition
- All of the controller connections are secured and properly connected to the power base
- The brakes of the power chair are working
- There is plenty of battery charge to operate the vehicle
The Jazzy Air 2 is equipped with a stable seating system that can be controlled with a single switch. When the switch is pressed, the seat could either be lifted up or down. The controller is the main technology that can let you drive the vehicle. This includes a set of keypads and a joystick that can allow you to maneuver. We strongly advise to start with a low-speed setting and gain familiarity before adjusting the speed higher.
When it comes to additional comfort, the Jazzy Air 2 can be adjusted in several areas:
- Seat recline angle
- Armrest Angle
- Armrest Height
- Controller Position
- Foot Platform Height
- Foot Platform Angle
- Positioning Belt
One of the most important areas is charging the battery for efficient use. To fully recharge the battery, you can position the machine next to an electrical outlet. Make sure that the freewheel levers are engaged. And then proceed to plug in the charger to the socket of the controller. Plug the other end on to the socket. Some indicators should appear to let you know if the battery is fully charged.
How to Disassemble the Jazzy Air 2
When you are considering where to tuck away the Jazzy Air 2 for storage, you can follow the steps below to disassemble it:
Step 1: Start by turning off the power on the controller and then unhook the wires from its harness. You should be able to free up the controller and remove it from the mount.
Step 2: Loosen the screws that hold the armrests, allowing you to easily pull them out
Step 3: Move to the headrest and unmount it from the seatback. With the use of a hex key, you should be able to loosen the bolts underneath the seat base. Once they are all freed, the seat should come out easily from the base plate.
Step 4: Open the battery cover and remove the battery connection if you plan to store the power chair for a long time. Reinstall the cover so that it will not get lost.
